Covid-19 Policy The NSVCC's commitment is to the safety of our veterans, their families and, their communities. Our influence is limited to the activities that occur on the Cenotaph site on Remembrance Day. NSVCC does not control Victoria Park outside of the designated Cenotaph area. The NSVCC's position is that the Remembrance Day ceremony is for our Veterans. Veterans do not need an invitation to attend the Ceremony. Restrictions for all in attendance at the Cenotaph are: Everyone wears a mask that covers both the nose and mouth. Everyone remains in their designated position or seat. No mingling once on the Cenotaph site. Restrictions for serving CAF members are by orders coming from their respective Commands. Official wreath-layers, identified by the NSVCC, require an accepted invitation to be present on the Cenotaph site. Members of the general public who wish to lay a wreath may do so after the Ceremony concludes. All Veterans are welcome and encouraged to attend within the confines of the Cenotaph. The NSVCC is aware that some Veterans who wish to attend may require a caregiver, a situation best handled on a case-by-case basis on the day. NSVCC strives to adhere to all relevant health policies as outlined by the BC Ministry of Health. If you have any questions regarding this NSVCC Covid 19 policy, please contact us.
